Baptism is our induction to the Apostolic mission of evangelization. Pope Francis reminds us that our Baptism changes us, gives us a new and glorious hope, and empowers us to bring God’s redeeming love to all. At the Baptism of Jesus, Scripture tells us of how Jesus is anointed. Jesus’ Baptism was an invisible reality, an anointing that was more powerful than the outward visible sign.
